Technology prices should, normally, go down as it becomes better and better and more accessible in all World and especially in the US as days go by. Still, US citizens pay now with an average of 50 percent more on mobile services that they used to seven years ago, back in 2007. The options grew, the services as well and also new smartphones appear very fast and many want to have one. So, in this case, many families pay somewhere between 300 and 400 dollars per month only for cell phones services! They cut down from some other pays, even though, of course, people complain. But a good cell phone with a great plan is indispensable, right?

Above, we’ll show you the most important reasons that the bills keep raising more and more and it looks like nobody can’t stop or doesn’t want to stop this trend:

1. Problems with the increasing of the taxes. In 2006, only 14 percent was the average part of the bill which had gone to the state, but now this raised up to 17 percent. But this is only an average, because in big cities such as Chicago and New York it can represent a quarter from the total value.

2. Carriers take care to set all kind of fees. The most important and which can ‘release’ your pocket from many hundred dollars are the activation fee, the early termination fee and confusing rooming fees, paid in the moments that a client is outside of his carrier service area.

3. Taxes for unlimited data plans. Some years ago, unlimited data wasn’t a problem for carriers so they offered their client every quantity as demanded at quite good prices. Until they realized the potential of this type of service and, naturally, the bills were increased.

4. No smartphone, no party! Relevant for this situation is a study that reveals the fact that in the US are 172 million smartphone owners! It seems a very big number and so it is and it shows what people are willing to pay for a good gadget. So, no wonder the bill also increases because smartphones aren’t quite cheap.
