New accusses came up to Apple’s devices when it comes to security. A couple of years ago, rumors circulated about the fact that the American company gathers information about the users without their permission. At that time, of course, Apple strongly denied all kind of involving in such situations. Things got in the same direction right now, as Edward Snowden, the famous former contractor for the National Security Agency who leaked thousands of pages of previously classified NSA intelligence documents, reportedly thinks that Apple's iPhone has "special software" that authorities can activate remotely to be able to gather information about the user.

Security measures

Because of this, Edward Snowden, is using an ordinary cell phone, fact which was revealed by his own lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena, who made a statement regarding this whole situation: "Edward never uses an iPhone; he's got a simple phone. The iPhone has special software that can activate itself without the owner having to press a button and gather information about him; that's why on security grounds he refused to have this phone."

Apple strongly denies

What exactlly does this involving mean? Well, it looks like Apple is accused of participating in the PRISM project of NSA which extracts video, audio, pictures, documents, emails and connection logs from devices, tracking the movement of the device's user and the communications that they are receiving or sending out. Despite this, the company stated that they don’t even have any ability of decripting messages of their users. Which version is correct maybe we’ll never know for sure but it obvious that you should be aware of what you do with your device in any case.
