In September 2014, when iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were launched, Apple also put on market the new operating system, iOS 8! Even though many customers complain that this tool occupies too much memory of their smartphone and some of them even sued the American company, the feedback was quite good at a second look.

29 percent are using iOS 7

In this article well talk a bit about the number of customers which adopted the operating system. In fact, not the number, but about the percent… The adoption rate of iOS 8 reached so far 68 percent, comparing to 29 percent which are still using iOS 7. The increase is significant if we take in consideration that at the beginning of October 2014 the adoption rate of iOS 8 was of 47 percent. To be honest, not bad at all because few than a month passed at that moment from the launch!

IPhone 6 bought by many Americans

All in all, it looks like the growth of the adoption rate reflects the growing number of smartphones buyers from the United States at the end of this year. Especially for Christmas, when reports said that from the total number of smartphones bought in the United States, 51 percent where iPhones! Still, iOS 8 had some bugs reason for which Apple launched also updated versions of it soon, but those had also some problems comparing to the customers’ expectations.
