A couple of years ago, when the iPhones were launched, another device, with its own OS became very popular in the United States and seemed quite a competition for Apple. The Palm brand enjoyed its glory period back than but after suffered a severe decline as it was bought by HP, in 2010, company which suspended the production, so the Palm Pre and Palm Centro weren’t available for customers just yet.

Palm, reset by Alcatel?

However, rumors state that the situation broken a couple of years ago may be fixed now, in 2015, from the beginning. Or at least a part of it. It looks like Alcatel One Touch is aiming to launch in January a Palm phone under its brand, way in which this might be powerful and recover what it can from the gap created in these years. Of course, the launch almost sure will take place in the United States of America, a market in which the phone had a great impact since 2008 when it was consider the second top smartphone after iPhone.

Will probably run with Android

Still, even though this will happen, rumors state that it might run on the popular Android Operating System not on its original but not so cool, at least at this moment, webOS. Even though, however, at its time, this OS seemed a great competition for Apple’s iOS, but now Android is used by more than 84 percent of smartphone users. That is it for now and we promise to keep it up with you as soon as something new appears about this intention because at this moment nothing official was yet set, so we can’t go further with the information.
