Samsung is attempting in 2015 to escape from the spectrum of Android, wanting to launch on their smartphones their own operating system. It’s all about the Tizen OS, but their mission isn’t quite simple as their software at which they work for some time could not compete at this moment with giants like the specified Android or iOS. This is also the opinion of some South-Korean analysts: "To be honest the software that Samsung has made on its own so far have not been very good ... I have not yet seen anything to suggest that Samsung has become competitive in the software space".

Tizen to be launched in Russia and India

Because of this, Samsung realizes that the implementation of Tizen could not come for now at big scale for customers from all around the World, but in some specific markets such are Russia and India, for example. Countries with many smatphone users which have the borders near of South Korea. Samsung doesn’t want to give details about their intentions at this moment but rumors say that they prepare the launches for 18th of January in India and a bit later, in the third quarter, for the Russian market.

The software doesn't meet the expectations

Even though they have more than 40,000 software development employees in the World and they didn’t manage to deliver any system that could stay up from the crowd, Samsung’s representatives stated about Tizen: "We have supported the Tizen platform for a long time and believe Tizen to be a good alternative mobile platform for consumers”. Also, apart from don’t meeting not by far the standards of Android and iOS, Samsung face also great regional competition in the region when it comes about Tizen from its Chinese rivals which also work hard in developing the best smartphone software they can.
