Even though at a first analysis a prepaid plan can bring far many advantages than postpaid ones, especially when it comes to cumulate the total amount of money which you spend in a while, let just say, one year, things turn in reality a bit different. The fact is that a study, made over 10 percent of mobile subscribers from all around the United States of America showed a massive increase in the postpaid sector for 2014, comparing to 2013. Also, the prepaid sector met a great fall which leads to some conclusions.

Big temptations

Of course, when we speak about prepaid or postpaid we don’t talk only about phone services, but also about tablets and mobile hotspots which are using data services. So, most likely, the increase of the postpaid subscribers has many things to do with the opportunity to purchase immediately a tablet, phablet or even a good smartphone for free or for a better price. Of course, an initial better price, if we don’t consider the adds that are about to appear every month of the signed contract from that moment on.

156 percent increasing for postpaid!

Still, because I didn’t told you yet, the increase of 156 percent of postpaid subscribers looks enormous even in these conditions! But people were convinced by companies attracting policies to switch to a postpaid operator or to just sign a new contract. I don’t know if this is good for you or not, or for the market itself, but the prepaid sector looks like in a fall, which doesn’t helps a bit the MVNO’s. The 35 percent decrease says it all! So, will those two services merge? I am not sure, but many and many rumors are suggesting this.
