Boost Mobile thought for the end of this year of a promotion to attract as many customers as possible. So, the company lunched de “Double Data” promotion which means that the data volume to use was doubled. Also all the prepaid plans were reduced with 5 dollars each. The idea was for a promotion lasting for one month, but the fact that it got so popular, determined the operator to prolong it a couple of months. Now it is available till January 2015.

Because the web site of Boost states this one as a ‘limited time offer’, it is unknown when an official statement will be made. Still, rumors and discussion state that this initial offer of ‘Double Data’ may become a permanent fixture of Boost Mobile plan pricing. To understand this better, take a look on the existing plans available:

$35 for Unlimited talk/text/data, 1 GB high speed 3G/4G data
$45 for Unlimited talk/text/data, 5 GB high speed 3G/4G data
$55 for Unlimited talk/text/data, 10 GB high speed 3G/4G data

An important fact is that these plans are and will be available for both existing and new upcoming customers. In addition to this change, Phone News has reported that Sprint will be implementing a $3 “convenience fee” to top-up monthly services with both Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
