Not just the life battery of iPhone was a general problem for its customers, but also the entry level of memory storage which remained for 16GB for the new launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This memory is quite restrictively for users because pictures, games and videos are now more complex and occupy a lot of space in your device.

16GB for the entry level iPhone 6

If the Android devices, for instance, permit you more storage with SD cards, Apple has a different strategy which brings them a lot of money. According to analysts around 3 billion dollars profit in 2015 thanks to their policy of introducing entry level iPhones with 16GB of memory. Besides these smartphones, Apple has, of course, prepared, mid-tier devices with 32GB and 64GB of memory and a top tier model which provides you 128GB. According to analysts, from those four, the most popular will be the 64GB version which will be, of course, more expensive. At the entry level model’s value you have to add 100 more dollars to get a mid-tier 64GB model.

32GB for next year?

So, this way, even though Apple will take in consideration to raise the barrier of entry-level at 32 GB next year, the 64 GB model will still remain the most wanted and so their profit will increase, as the average selling price of its devices will be kept higher than before, even though the cost of storage will go down. This way, the estimates say, as I told you upper, that Apple will get in 2015 a 3 billion profit only because of this strategy of implementing entry level iPhones at 16GB. It is a good strategy for the company as it looks, but we shall see how it will influence is customers in a long-term period.
