It is time to talk a bit how can you locate your Android device if you lose track of it and don’t want to waste all the information on it. For iPhones, the ‘Find My iPhone’ option was described and it’s important for you know that the Android Device Manager, which was designed to help you to get back your lost Android phone, isn’t much different. So, watch this and learn what you must do in the unwanted case of misplacing your device.

The first step is to head to the Android Device Manager, after you must sign in with your Google Account. Remember that this has to be the exact one as the missing phone, because otherwise your search is in vain. Normally, after these two steps, you’ll see your lost Android device on the top left of your window. In case the gadget shown doesn’t match with what you have to find than click the small down arrow nearby the device name and select the correct phone from the list that appears.

Now, if your phone is still switched on, than for sure it will be located. Next, you have three options from which you have to choose, depending on the place your Android might be. So, if you think that it is lost somewhere in the house, or at the office, you should press ring and it will be very easy to locate. Otherwise, if it was lost on a public place and you are afraid that it will be stolen or, even worse, had already been stolen, you might choose the ‘lock’ or ‘erase’ options. The lost one will delete all data and took the phone to the factory settings but in this way you won’t be able anymore to track down the device with the Android Device Manager.
