While  the Samsung Galaxy S5 has been on the market for some time already, the S4 is a wildly popular option for no-contract / prepaid. However it sells for $400+ which is a tough pill to swallow compared to the average prepaid smartphone at around $200.

Straight Talk started offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE (GSM) for only $249. This is almost 50% off the normal selling price of $449. The phone will be sold with Straight Talk plans, compatible on the AT&T or T-Mobile networks.  You may also be able to snag one at Walmart.

The phone is proven. It has been one of the best selling phones for Samsung. It features a 5" AMOLED screen, microSD memory slot, removable battery, and a 13MP decent camera.

It is to mention that it now works with an Android 4.3 operative system which may upgrade to 4.4. Most Galaxy S4 variants are already on Android 4.4 KitKat.

They don’t state clearly if this is for a locked (to Straight Talk) or an unlocked device. However there are plenty of SIM unlocking options for this device regardless.

For reference, below are the Straight Talk no-contract phone plans.
