The cell phone industry still looks tempting for companies which have nothing to do with it. Like the case of Cablevision, a cable and home internet provider which tries to enter on the cell phone service market under the name of Freewheel. At the beginning only with the WiFi service and after, who knows? The idea is that their services are only now available mainly in New York, even though, at least in theory they can be accessed from all the surface of the country. So, if you pay 9.95 dollars a month you can get unlimited talk, text and data on WiFi only.

They will compete with FreedomPop and Republic Wireless

A deal which doesn’t look bad, but since this is the company’s first voice service we are not sure how it will end up in the end. Especially if we consider that important providers from the cell phone industry like FreedomPop and Republic Wireless already offer this type of services nationwide. And at such good prices, between 5 and 10 dollars per month, which is, to be honest, quite a deal if you have access to WiFi.

Moto G with 99 dollars discount

This way, it seems unlikely that Cablevision can attract many new customers interested only on this branch of their services. Things got even tougher when we realize that, for now, or from next month, when the offer will become available, only through Motorola Moto G smartphone you can benefit from this service. Not many options, though! But the company taught a bit at this situation and realized that a best deal which can help their development is a 99 dollars discount for the specified device. This way, customers might get one and use their services.
