CES 2015 is confronting with another new entry on the smartphone market. The camera expert, Kodak, launched its first smartphone model which will be available in Europe at first starting with the first quarter of the year and shortly after in globally markets, including the U.S.

It has two cameras

The company’s smartphone got the name of Kodak IM5, has a 5 inch touchscreen, operates with Android 4.4 KitKat OS and can be ordered in two color version, the classic black and white. Of course, being as we said a camera expert, Kodak fixed a rear camera of 13-meagapixel, which seem to have quite good quality for potential customers. Also, it has a front 5-megapixel one. As for the other characteristics, let see at what level they are in the following rows.

More characteristics

The display has 1920 x 1080 Full HD and it is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and 1 GB of RAM. The storage memory isn’t great, of only 8GB, but it can increase up to 32GB more thanks to the microSD cards. That’s that with the characteristics of the device and I think to sum up we just have to read an expert opinion about this innovation.

"Too many memories stay stuck on mobile phones, often because the process for sharing them is too complicated for users. That's why we've partnered on the IM5, the first device in a range of mobile products that takes our heritage and experience in photographic technology and combines it with Bullitt's expertise in designing high-quality devices for a specific target consumer" said Eileen Murphy, VP of brand licensing at Kodak.
