In the last days we spoke less by Sprint and I think this is the moment in which we should update you with some news about the carrier especially when the fight with T-Mobile, its main competitor on market at this moment, increases rapidly. What does link the two carriers? Well, let’s see… First of all, in the third quarter of 2014, both companies made significant efforts to become better wireless providers for their customers in the attempt of keeping as closely as possible behind the leaders Verizon and AT&T.

Sprint's efforts cost 2,000 jobs

Sprint has although significant problems even though they gave a massive 4G LTE upgrade for their subscribers. First of all, they are the only from the Big Four who have massive customer fall in the last years and, because of this, their profit got a big hit. Second, as a consequence to this, in 2015, Sprint will eliminate around 2,000 jobs from their company this being the only suitable solution at this moment to cut costs.

10 million new subscribers for T-Mobile

In the same time, the rivals from T-Mobile got an incredible increase when it comes to customer number in the last one and a half years, raising their subscribers with 10 million! It appears to be a big advantage, but they still earn less revenue per user than, for example, Sprint has. This because they continue with very good offers in the intention of attracting as many customers as possible, neglecting often the marge of profit. It’s hard at this moment to figure out which of the both has a better strategy, but surely 2015 might bring some important answers about the situations of Sprint and T-Mobile.
