Smartphones became more and more a temptation for thieves especially because of their continuous improving and better characteristics. This is always a problem, but a major one when it comes to a stolen such device that has very important data or information on it. Such are those belonging to members of different government agencies or important corporations. That’s why, BlacBerry in cooperation with Boeing projected and will soon launch a smartphone that is capable to self-destruct!

It doesn't have removable parts

It looks like its name will be the “Boeing Black phone” and will be developed by the company headquartered in Chicago and which is best known for creating fighter planes and jetliners. The main property of this cell phone will be the fact that it won’t have any removable parts so, if somebody tries to open it by any means, it will automatically destruct and the data contained will be deleted instantly. Apart from don’t having any removable parts, the device it’s sealed with epoxy and with screws around its casing.

Available for Android and iOS

Of course, the two companies’ aims are to offer the device to government agencies and corporations wanting to limit of “approved” buyers. And even after the purchasing of the smartphone, would have to sign an agreement confirming that they are keeping the details of the phone undisclosed. So, it’s a pretty big plan but also a careful thought one which aims for maximum protection and discretion. Also, even though it will be design by BlackBerry, the device would also be able to work with iOS and Android Operating System.
